Recently we were thinking about how to improve our existing gaming experience in Smartle. After some thinking and gathering feedback from several word puzzle players we decided to introduce a new feature that we believe will make Sprint mode even more enjoyable. We will add the “Give Up” or “Start Over” button in the Sprint mode!
If you’ve ever found yourself in the middle of a Sprint challenge and felt that you were dealt an unlucky set of letters, you’re not alone. Many Sprint word hunt game players have expressed the wish to reset their game in situations where they feel the puzzle is not solvable for them or when the letters don’t seem to align well. With this new feature, you can now hit the "Give Up" button and immediately restart the Sprint. Giving you a fresh chance to complete it with a brand new set of letters.
The idea behind this new feature came from the feedback of Sprint word hunt players who found themselves in frustrating situations while trying to solve all 5 word puzzles. While Smartle's Sprint mode is designed to test your speed and accuracy in finding words under pressure, there are times when the random letter distribution doesn’t quite work in your favor. Everyone is different. Sometimes the same set of letters works well for one player while for the other player it would be difficult to create words with those letters. That's where the "Give Up" button comes in handy.
The “Give Up” button allows you to quit your current Sprint word game and start fresh with a brand-new set of letters. It’s an immediate reset of the round, designed to save you time and prevent frustration when you feel like continuing with the current letters won’t lead to a win. This means you don’t have to finish a Sprint that feels unwinnable; instead, you can restart with the hope of receiving a new set of letters which would work better for you.

As we continue to make Smartle best free to play word game, we’re conducting A/B testing on the “Give Up” feature. This means that some players may already have it, while others might not see it just yet. We’re carefully monitoring the feedback and performance data to understand how this feature impacts our retention. We aim to roll it out to all players in the near future if the results are positive.
