New game coming soon

01 Jun 2025

When we made the Smartle word puzzle game, we were really happy with how much people liked it. The great feedback and support from players gave us the motivation to try something new. That’s how an idea for a new game was born and Hex Sense came to life. Hex Sense is not a word game or a daily puzzle like Smartle. We would say that the only thing in common with Smartle puzzle is that it is a logic game that’s great for your brain.

For those who don’t know yet and found this post on the internet, Smartle is a simple word puzzle that you can play online. Every day, there’s a new puzzle. It is fast, fun, and makes you think. It’s easy to start playing, but not always easy to win. Thousands of people around the world made it part of their morning routine and we love that.

In several posts in our blog we already explained why word puzzle games aren’t just about finding words. They actually help you train your brain and keep it healthy. Games like Smartle are especially nice because they give you a little challenge every day. You don’t need to play them for hours. Just once a day solve the daily word puzzle and feel good about giving your brain a quick workout.

How does the above connect to the new game Hex Sense? It is interesting that not only word games can be beneficial for your brain. Basically any logical puzzle that makes you go off auto-pilot mode and think for a while is good for your cognitive abilities.

After all the love Smartle got, we started asking ourselves: what if we made something new, but still good for your brain? We didn’t want to make a copy of Smartle. We wanted something that stood on its own. But we also wanted it to be the kind of game Smartle fans would enjoy. Not another word puzzle. Something different. Something with tiles, clues, and strategy. So we got to work. And that’s how we made Hex Sense.

Smartle is about words. Hex Sense is about logic. Smartle is a daily word puzzle. Hex Sense is a full adventure with lots of levels and chapters. Smartle has Sprint mode, in Hex Sense you don’t need to be fast. At least yet. Maybe in the future we will add some levels with time constraints. You just need to pay attention and enjoy the challenge. Both games are very different but share something important: they’re good for your brain.

Hex Sense is also a puzzle game, but not with words. It’s a logic game with hexagon tiles. Each level is like a little map made out of hexes. Some of the tiles are safe. Some hide bombs. Your job is to use the clues, figure out where the bombs are, and find a safe path to the Exit. You don’t need to guess where the safe tile is. Everything in Hex Sense is about logic. Like Minesweeper, but more polished and creative, with new gameplay elements added in as you go.

It’s great for people who like:

How to play Hex Sense?

You start on a hexagonal grid. Some tiles are already open. Most are closed. You can only move to tiles that are next to the ones you’ve opened. If you step on a bomb, game over. But if you move carefully and use the number clues, you can find a safe path. Each chapter brings new ideas. Some tiles are linked. Some require special thinking. But it all builds up gradually and you can learn as you play.

So can you play it already? Not yet, but very soon you’ll be able to. Next week we will post a public link and you can try the game yourself.
