In the world of daily word search games, players come in all shapes and sizes. Today, we bring you a glimpse into the world of Jacob P, one the most dedicated players of Smartle. You can find him on the leaderboard under the proud name of Agile Bat. Apart from Smartle Jacob plays several crossword and wordsearch puzzles every day such as Wordle, Waffle and Semantle. We wanted to ask Jacob six questions to better understand our players and get insights into their daily routine. Here are his answers.
Jacob: It all began with a fascination for words. Daily word puzzles, especially Smartle, offered a unique blend of challenge and satisfaction. The initial attraction was the sheer joy of discovering words within a 5x5 square field. But what keeps me returning is the ever-changing nature of these puzzles. No two days are the same. It's like opening a surprise package each day, and I find that incredibly exciting.
Jacob: Smartle and Wordle belong to the same family of word games, but they have their distinct flavors. Smartle offers a more intricate and immersive experience. It's like diving into the depths of wordplay, with the goal of forming horizontal 5-letter words across all rows. Wordle, on the other hand, is a fantastic quick-fix word game. Both have their charm, but Smartle's complexity and daily variation make it my preferred choice. I must say I’m always searching for good new free word search puzzles to play online.
Jacob: Leaderboard is a powerful motivator to me. It turns the game into a journey with milestones. The goal is to earn as many stars as possible by forming words across all 5 rows. It's a delightful challenge, and stars are the rewards for conquering it. When I aim for that 5-star achievement, it keeps me engaged and motivated to play daily. I also have a really long streak now. Knowing I’m doing something healthy and useful for my brain daily is really important to me and streak helps me to take track of that.
Jacob: The beauty of Smartle is its unpredictability. With 25 random letters arranged in a 5x5 grid each day, there's a world of possibilities. My approach is a mix of observation, strategy, and intuition. I start with the goal of forming 5-letter words in each row, but I also look for opportunities to build off existing words. Sometimes, you stumble upon unexpected combinations, and that's the magic of the game. I hope the creators soon add word definitions because sometimes I don’t even know the meaning of the word that I accidentally created.
Jacob: Smartle is like a daily workout for the brain. As I mentioned above, I come across new words quite often. It's like a continuous learning journey. My vocabulary has expanded, and I've improved my spelling and grammar skills. It's a fun way to discover words that might not come up in everyday conversations.
Jacob: Absolutely, I believe that finding positive words in word search and crossword puzzles can significantly contribute to a better mood. It's a simple but effective way to infuse positivity into your daily routine. When you come across words like "smile," or "happy" or “funny” while solving puzzles, it's like a mini mental boost. It reminds you of the positive aspects of life and can be a mood lifter, especially on challenging days. Plus, it reinforces a positive mindset, which can have long-term benefits for your overall well-being. So, yes, it's not just about solving puzzles; it's about enjoying a positive journey through words!
